The Deal Ledger: 2025 M&A Recap and 2026 Outlook is a monthly newsletter I created while serving as Marketing Coordinator at First Turn Capital, developed to share market insights with business owners, investors, and referral partners. The issue featured here is the December 2025 edition, which served as the firm’s year-end recap, summarizing key M&A and private equity trends throughout 2025 and offering a perspective on what the market may look like heading into 2026, particularly focusing on the firm’s target industries, such as manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, and equipment rental sectors.

For this publication, I researched industry trends, wrote the editorial content, and designed the full layout. The visual direction draws inspiration from editorial and magazine-style layouts, incorporating visual elements that make complex financial insights easier to grasp without heavy reading. The writing was intentionally crafted to translate industry concepts into clear, accessible insights for both experts and non-experts, while the color palette reflects the firm’s brand identity.

Run Like a Girl: A Movement in Motion

An editorial-style campaign concept inspired by Nike and Girls on the Run, celebrating confidence, resilience, and the power of girls in sport.

Run Like a Girl is rooted in a simple truth I believe wholeheartedly: women are a force without limits. Inspired by Nike’s motivational storytelling and Girls on the Run’s mission to help every girl discover her confidence through movement, this campaign concept reclaims the phrase “run like a girl,” often used as an insult, and reframes it as a badge of strength, resilience, and pride.

Designed as a digital e-newsletter, the piece combines bold visuals, emotional storytelling, and empowering messaging to highlight how programs like Girls on the Run help young girls build confidence, leadership, and community through sport. More than just written content, the goal was to create something that feels like the beginning of a movement, reminding women and girls that our strength is undeniable and our potential is limitless.

Structured using a traditional media advisory format, the piece delivers concise, journalist-friendly information including the event’s purpose, timing, location, and participants. The messaging emphasizes the transformative role horses can play in personal development while positioning the event as a meaningful local story for community and wellness coverage.

The Man and His Two-Dollar Bill

A creative nonfiction story about perseverance, family legacy, and small moments that shape a life.

This creative narrative profile tells the true story of my grandfather, Roger Cole, a young man from Midwest City, Oklahoma, whose determination and motivation turned a simple job into a lifelong legacy. Anchored by the symbolic thread of a two-dollar bill, the story follows his journey from poverty to becoming president of an insurance company, guided by perseverance, mentorship, and belief in something bigger.

Written while I was in college, this piece blends personal history with a narrative craft that motivates. Roger’s story became my inspiration.  His work ethic, resilience, and ability to lead with heart continue to shape how I approach storytelling, branding, and connection in my career. This piece reflects his legacy and the values guiding my creative work today.
